Does Staging a Home Work?

Home staging... what is it and why is it such a big trend? Well,
home staging, a recent home selling phenomenon that has surfaced
over the past several years, is really anything that you can do to
your home when trying to sell it that is going to make it more
attractive or appealing to a potential buyer. Staging can be
anything from simply removing picture frames with personal
photographs or it could be as complex as supplying furniture to an
empty home, hanging art, painting, or addressing the "curb appeal"
of your home from the outside. It has been proven that staging can
increase a home's price from 2-10% in a moderate market and up to
50% in a hot market. Also, because most buyers begin their house
hunt online, it is crucial to have great photographs for your
realtor to put on their website of a staged home for a buyer's
first impression.
Although it is a buyer's market in today's real estate, home
staging can help give the seller a competitive advantage by
preparing their home for a quick and profitable sale.

What's Up With The Rental Market?
We are receiving multiple calls weekly for people looking for rentals
for various reasons. Some people have relocated to Birmingham and
have not sold their homes in other cities or found a home here to
purchase, the mortgage requirements have become very stringent or
maybe they are not feeling very secure in their current employment
situation. We keep a list of rentals available in our office so if
